Al-Mahdi Islamic Center wishes to inform the community that that wishes to inform the community that there were verified sightings of the crescent moon on the evening of Thursday, January 30, 2025, in different regions in North America.

Therefore, the first day of Sha’baan will be on Friday, January 31, 2025, for the entire region of North America.

This determination is based on the fact that there were no verified sightings of the crescent moon by the naked eye at sunset on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, from any region of North America. Therefore, Wednesday, January 1st, 2025, will be the last day of Jumada al-Akhira, 1446 A.H.ٍ

THE MONTH OF MAHE SHABAN 1445 AH

Al-Mahdi Islamic Center wishes to inform the community that there were verified sightings of the crescent moon on the evening of

Saturday 10th February in many locations in North America.

Therefore the first day of Sha’baan will be on Sunday 11h February 2024

We ask Allah, the Most High, for success in performing good deeds and hasten the Return of Our Master, Imam al-Mahdi (ajjala Allahu ta’ala farajahu al-sharif).

Al-Mahdi Islamic Center wishes to inform the community that there were verified sightings of the crescent moon on the evening of Tuesday 14th November 2023 in some locations in the Southwestern USA. Therefore, the first day of the month of Jamadi Al Awwal 1445AH will be as follows, based on the multiplicity of horizons ruling:

1st day of the month of Jamadi Al Awwal 1445AH will be on Wednesday, November 15th, 2022 for most regions in United States from Boston, MA to Vancouver, BC, Canada. (This includes all NASIMCO Jamaat regions in USA and Vancouver, Canada).

1st day of the month of Jamadi Al Awwal 1445AH will be on Thursday, November 16th, 2022 for all other regions of North America. (This includes all NASIMCO Jamaat regions in Canada with the exception of Vancouver)

• 5 Jamadi Al Awwal, Wiladat of Sayyida Zainab (A)
• 13 Jamadi Al Awwal, Shahadat of Sayyida Fatima (A)

This determination is based on the fact that there were no verified sightings of the crescent moon by the naked eye at sunset on Friday, April 1st, 2022 in any region of North America. Thus, Saturday, April 2nd, 2022 will be the last day of the month of Shaban. We ask Allah, the Most High, for success in performing good deeds and hasten the Return of Our Master, Imam al-Mahdi (ajjala Allahu ta’ala farajahu al-sharif).
